Plasma therapy at minimal med harnesses your body's own regenerative power: from a small sample, we obtain a concentrate rich in growth factors, cytokines (the body's own signalling molecules), and proteins through specialised processing. This concentrate can target regenerative processes in skin, scar tissue, and hair follicles. Depending on the indication, we use the plasma in its pure form or enrich it with hyaluronic acid — not as a filler, but as a depot that keeps the growth factors in place for up to two weeks, extending their effect.
Your Benefits
- Concentrated growth factors as a regenerative stimulus
- Can visibly improve skin quality, scars, and acne scars
- Can stimulate dormant hair follicles and counteract hair loss
- Optional hyaluronic acid depot for prolonged effect
- Natural regeneration without synthetic additives
- Synergy with polynucleotides and exosomes for enhanced regeneration
- Versatile: face, scalp, eye area, décolletage
How the Treatment Works
Consultation: Analysis of your concern and determination of your individual protocol.
Sample: A small sample is taken (approx. 10-20 ml).
Processing: The sample is processed — the growth factors are concentrated in the plasma.
Optional: Enrichment of the plasma with hyaluronic acid as an active ingredient depot.
Application: The processed concentrate is delivered into the target tissue via micro-injections.
The Principle of Natural Regeneration
Your body contains everything your tissue needs to regenerate: upon activation, platelets release over 30 different growth factors — including PDGF, TGF-β, VEGF, and EGF. Through specialised processing, we concentrate these factors to 3 to 5 times their normal levels. In the skin, they can activate connective tissue precursor cells, stimulate collagen synthesis, and improve microcirculation. In the hair follicle, they can activate the regenerative potential of the dermal papilla and extend the growth cycle.
Plasma therapy becomes particularly powerful when combined with polynucleotides or exosomes: polynucleotides stimulate connective tissue precursor cells at the DNA level, creating a pro-regenerative environment in which the plasma's growth factors can work even more effectively. Exosomes, in turn, deliver complementary growth factors and microRNA as cellular signal packages — together with the plasma, this creates a regenerative signal across multiple biological pathways simultaneously.
Two Variants, One Goal
Pure Plasma: The classic approach — the growth factor concentrate is injected directly. Ideal for the scalp in cases of hair loss and for large-area skin revitalisation. The growth factors take effect immediately and are absorbed by the tissue within a few days.
Plasma with Hyaluronic Acid Depot: Here we enrich the concentrate with non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid. This does not act as a filler — it creates a biological depot that binds the growth factors at the treatment site for up to two weeks. Particularly effective for scars and acne scars, for treating dark circles, and for targeted improvement of skin quality. The extended residence time can significantly enhance the regenerative effect.
The Body's Own Stimulation
Plasma therapy is, for me, the most elemental form of regenerative medicine. The body's own stimulation finds many indications: whether dark circles, hair loss, skin and scar treatments, in combination or alone — plasma therapy has become almost indispensable.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is plasma therapy?
A concentrate particularly rich in growth factors is obtained from a small sample through specialised processing. This is precisely injected into the skin or scalp to stimulate regenerative processes.
What role does the hyaluronic acid play?
The hyaluronic acid does not serve as a filler or volume builder, but as a biological depot: it binds the growth factors and keeps them at the treatment site for up to two weeks. This allows the growth factors to work longer and more intensively than with pure plasma.
When is plasma used with or without hyaluronic acid?
For the scalp (hair loss), we often use pure plasma. For scars, acne scars, and facial skin, the hyaluronic acid variant can be beneficial, as the growth factors need to remain in the tissue longer.
Which areas can be treated?
Facial skin (anti-ageing, glow), dark circles and tear troughs, acne scars and other scars, scalp for hair loss, décolletage and neck.
Is the treatment painful?
With a numbing cream, the micro-injections are well tolerated. The sample collection is comparable to a routine blood test.
How many sessions do I need?
We recommend 2-3 sessions at 4-6 week intervals, followed by annual refreshers. For hair loss, a longer series may be beneficial.
What does plasma therapy cost?
The treatment starts from 399 EUR. The exact cost depends on the treatment area and the choice of with or without hyaluronic acid depot.
