Polynucleotides are DNA fragments, usually sourced from salmon or trout milt. They don't add volume themselves — instead, they act as a biological stimulus that encourages the precursor cells of your connective tissue toward self-renewal.
That's exactly what makes them so versatile: since no shape is being changed, they're also suitable for areas too sensitive for classic fillers — the eye area above all. For many of my patients, that's the reason they choose polynucleotides over hyaluronic acid.
