What is Juvelook?

Juvelook combines non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid with PDLLA microparticles (poly-D,L-lactic acid). The hyaluronic acid provides instant hydration without changing shape — the PDLLA particles stimulate your own collagen production with a delay.

This combination makes Juvelook especially interesting for thin, sensitive skin areas — areas where I use other biostimulators more cautiously. For cheeks and the cheekbone area, there's also the volume-adding "Juvelook Volume" variant.

Juvelook is a comparatively new product — the evidence base so far consists of case reports and small case series. I discuss this limitation openly with you before we decide together.

How is Juvelook different from Sculptra?

Sculptra consists solely of poly-L-lactic acid and works purely through collagen stimulation. Juvelook combines non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid with PDLLA microparticles — giving an immediate hydration effect on top of the delayed collagen stimulus. Both techniques have different use cases.

Which areas is Juvelook suitable for?

I mainly use Juvelook in areas with thin, sensitive skin — the tear trough, neck and nasolabial folds. For cheeks and the cheekbone area, there's also the volume-adding 'Juvelook Volume' variant.

How strong is the evidence base for Juvelook?

Juvelook is a comparatively new product. The studies currently available are case reports and small case series, not randomized trials, with the longest documented follow-up being 6 months. I discuss this limitation openly with you during your consultation.

What side effects are possible?

In case series published so far, Juvelook was well tolerated: the most commonly reported effects were temporary bruising and mild swelling, resolving within a few days. Not suitable during an active skin infection in the treatment area, during pregnancy and breastfeeding, or with active autoimmune processes of unclear activity — we discuss this beforehand during your consultation.
