What is plasma therapy?
From a small blood sample — about 10-20 ml — I prepare a concentrate of your body's own growth factors and proteins, including PDGF, TGF-β, VEGF and EGF, at a significantly higher concentration than in normal blood.
I inject this concentrate directly into the area being treated — pure or mixed with non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid, depending on the goal, which acts as a depot and extends how long the growth factors stay in the tissue.
Because the material comes from your own blood, plasma therapy is a particularly self-derived approach — I use it both for skin quality on the face and for hair loss on the scalp.

What is plasma therapy?

What does added hyaluronic acid do in the concentrate?
Non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid acts as a depot — it extends how long the growth factors stay in the tissue, instead of being broken down right away.
When is it used with hyaluronic acid, and when without?
For the scalp in cases of hair loss, I usually use the concentrate pure. For scars, acne scars, or general skin quality on the face, I more often combine it with hyaluronic acid.
Which areas can be treated?
Facial skin, dark circles and the tear trough, acne scars and other scars, the scalp for hair loss, and the neck and décolleté.
Does the treatment hurt?
Drawing the blood sample is like a normal blood test. For the following micro-injections, I numb the skin beforehand if needed.
How many sessions are needed?
I usually recommend 2-3 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart, followed by annual touch-ups. For hair loss, a longer series can be advisable.
What side effects and risks are there?
Mild swelling, redness or small bruises at the blood-draw and injection sites are common and usually settle within a few days. Not suitable during an active skin infection in the treatment area, with certain blood-clotting disorders, or during pregnancy — we discuss this beforehand during your consultation.
