Can I still chew normally after the treatment?
Yes, absolutely. The treatment only weakens the muscle enough to relax it. You can continue eating and chewing normally. Only the excessive clenching and grinding is reduced.
When will I see results?
Unlike wrinkle treatments, it takes 2-4 weeks for the muscle to reduce in size and the contour to become slimmer. Maximum results are reached after about 6-8 weeks.
Does the treatment help with teeth grinding?
For many patients, clenching intensity and morning symptoms noticeably ease. The treatment complements the splint, it does not replace it.
Is the treatment suitable for men?
Yes, men often suffer from severe bruxism. For men, the treatment can be dosed more conservatively to maintain a strong, masculine jaw contour.
What happens if I stop the treatment?
The muscle gradually returns to its original size. With regular treatment over 1-2 years, the effect may last longer as the muscle adapts to its relaxed state.
